Do You Hold Dates?
Due to high demand, we do not hold dates. Dates are reserved on a first come first serve basis with a signed contract and booking payment.
WE’RE READY TO BOOK! WHAT’S NEXT?
When returning your signed contract, you will need an initial payment of 50% of your venue rental total. The final payment of the venue rental total is due, in its entirety, 30 days prior to your contracted date. Make checks payable to 2McConnells.
WHAT ARE OUR CATERING AND BAR OPTIONS?
Elite Catering and Events is our exclusive catering partner. Believing that food is a focal point at any event, they’re known for creative food displays and great service that accentuate your event vibe and theme. Using only the freshest ingredients, their menus can be customized to meet a variety of tastes and dietary needs. From American, Fusion, Italian, Latin American, to Southern fare for buffets, passed hors d’oeurvres, plated dinners and chef stations, they work with you to craft the perfect menu for your event. Entertain with confidence with our vast selection of delectable dishes and full-service catering.

You do not have to book a bar package or purchase alcohol through The Steam Plant. You are welcome to provide your own so long as it is served by Elite Catering or an approved bartending company.
DO YOU PROVIDE A WEDDING/EVENT PLANNER?
Your venue rental includes an Event Director to coordinate items as they relate to the venue (vendor load-in, floral/decor delivery, etc.), provide you with a floor plan, place and manage the Prime Time Party Rental order, and upon request grant access to the venue for planning purposes. The Event Staff is responsible for the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, and linens. The Event Staff is not responsible for setting up any additional decor like place cards, memory tables, centerpieces, etc.
If you’re needing more planning assistance like event design, creating seating charts, managing RSVPs, etc., we can refer you to a list of qualified wedding and event planners.
DO WE HAVE TO DO POST EVENT CLEAN UP?
No, thankfully! We have professional cleaners that take care of cleaning. However, you will need to have your personal belongings and decor removed by the end of the contracted event time.
Are there any Hotels or Overnight Accommodations near the venue?
Our venue is located within walking distance from Two hotels and many Air B&B’s. The first one is The AC Hotel by Marriot Dayton. It is located a few blocks from The Steam Plant at 124 Madison Street, Dayton, OH, 45402. The second is The Fairfield Inn located also within walking distance at 305 Monument Ave, Dayton. There are also many beautiful Air B&Bs in this area.
